I was kind of late practicing today. I was caught up in my job stuff. But I managed to still do it. It was just basic poses today. Not much else to say really.

Day 20 (Yesterday)
Due to some unforeseen circumstances I was unable to work out yesterday until about 8:00 pm. My husband and I were out and about doing a really tedious errand and we were unable to come home until late. That didn't stop my body from reacting to my lack of exercise.
About 12:30 or so my head was pounding with a really bad headache. I thought I was hungry so I ate something but it didn't go away. I took a quick nap and that did nothing. I thought maybe a little caffeine would help so I had some iced tea. Which suppressed it for a while but after I was finished drinking the headache came back. So on the way home my husband said, "Maybe you should do some yoga when we get home" So at about 8:15 or so we came home and I rolled out my yoga mat and did some poses that I knew. Within two minutes my headache slowly subsided and after 25 minutes of some basic poses my headache was gone.
It amazes me that my body would act so negatively to my lack of exercise. I've never really have had that happen before.
So I still worked out for 20 days straight. Yesterday wasn't as long as usual but it still counts. I can feel my body getting stronger My hamstrings are getting stretched and I can feel my arms starting to build up mass so I can hold arm poses longer. Which is something that I know I keep saying but I can feel my body improving everyday. Almost one month of exercise! I know I can make it! Especially since my body feels terrible if I don't.

Day 15
I still can't believe that I have made it 15 days! It's awesome! My body is becoming stronger, I was able to stretch into the poses a lot better and my stamina has gone up a bit. My weight has been fluctuating a bit but that can't be helped. It has to do with being a lady and us ladies have more fat because we have more places for it to go blah, blah, blah. It sounds like I don't know where it goes but I do. I am not blaming my self for the fat redistribution is all. I know that this is all apart of my body adjusting to the weight loss.

Day 13
Nice and easy workout today. Nothing too strenuous Which was nice because my muscles need some recovery time! Whew! Apart from that it was a pretty good session.
The book "Well Fed" has some amazing recipes Even better then the ones I found on the internet! I am glad I found that book! Last night I made some zucchini pasta with homemade Paleo sauce and turkey meat balls. It came out delicious! My husband gobbled it up. I can't wait to try out her other recipes because so far they are all really good! It's nice to find so many simple recipes that are easy to make and are not ridiculously expensive.

Day 12
Worked out at the normal time today. Man! I am really starting to see results! I dropped two pounds! I'm feeling really good!
I am really proud of my self for keeping this up for 12 days. Even after not being able to work out at my normal time yesterday. It's nice to feel motivated about something. Next I am going to work on my other things, such as my t-shirt business.
I am starting to feel pretty confident about my self.
I am going to go have some lunch now. I think after my workout today I deserve a little fruit.

Day 11
Today I am posting kind of late because I did my workout late. I was out and about all day so I didn't get a chance to do it until an hour ago. It was a good workout and I am glad that I got to do it. Since it is so late. I am starting to lose weight too! I have lost a pound for the exercise and the diet! It's looking pretty good for me! I am feeling better.

Day 10
After a tough workout it is nice that some progress is made! Like loosing a couple pounds after 10 straight days. Which is undoubtedly a very positive result.
As for our Paleo diet: It is going extremely well so far... it only has been a couple days but the Paleo Pad Thai that I made last night was freaking delicious! Good food really makes the diet worthwhile.

Lot of strength work out today. Especially for the arms and legs. It's getting harder but better.
Officially starting the Paleo diet today. My husband and I have planned out our meals for the week and weeks to come so that it should be easy to shop for. Anyway, that looks like it for an update today....

Day 7
Today the poses were pretty tough! I don't have good upper body strength but I can feel it getting better slowly. Also today is one full week that I have exercised! It feels pretty good.
I realized that a lot of these posts are going to sound the same. But really this is just for me and encourages me to keep going. Maybe, I'll post some recipes or something. We'll see. Gotta get back to meal planning.

Day 6
I am feeling like I am making some major progress! I have been doing a yoga workout for 6 days now and I am already feeling results. I lost a pound already! Which makes me happy! :)
So now I am researching the Paleo diet since it is believed to be the best for the human body. The more I learn about it the more it makes sense to do it. On my mother's side of the family, we have major thyroid issues. On my dad's side diabetes and cancer. The Paleo diet helps curb thyroid and diabetes and reduces risk of cancer.
As I said yesterday, I am on the hunt for recipes and an understanding of what is acceptable to buy and what is not. The book "Well Fed" by Melissa Joulwan is very interesting. She talks about what foods to avoid immediately and what is acceptable. The book includes recipes and what you should keep in the pantry. She writes to "just eat" because that is what her recipes are written for. Just to eat with simple ingredients to create dishes that taste good and enjoy eating food.
Well I need to construct my shopping list...

Day 5
I have made it five days of working out consecutively! I have put in at least 30 minutes or more each day and already I am feeling pretty good! However, I am trying to remain encouraged because you gain before you start to lose.
So far the real challenge has been dieting. My husband and I are on the Paleo diet half the time that we need to be. The real downside to this diet is that it is expensive and challenging not to cheat. The recipes feel limiting and it is frustrating trying to keep under the budget. I am trying to find more recipes but I come up short because this diet is pretty strict.
I have been able to come make adjustments to some recipes but I feel like it all comes down to expense.
Apart from that, I am excited to start this blog because I don't care who reads it! As long as it gives me motivation I am happy to do this. I hope to update everyday to share my progress.
